Anger Managment

"Anyone can become angry-that is easy. But to be angry with the right person, to the right degree, at the right time, and in the right way- that is not easy."

- Aristotle

Anger is a natural and normal response to life's irritations. To deal more effectively with anger, you will want to accept it as a real and honest feeling, as well as, determine the cause of the anger. Uncontrolled anger can be extremely harmful to your health, your relationship, and your family's well-being.

Our counselors are certified by the National Anger Management Association (NAMA) and specialize in helping you learn safe, effective ways to resolve conflict and express anger. Our program is ideal for individuals and couples struggling with effective anger management skills and want to gain insight into better ways of handling anger.

We offer an anger management completion certificate for all clients mandated through school, work, or court.

During the anger management course, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Identify what triggers your anger.
  • Think about how you experience anger and identify the roles anger has played in your past.
  • Identify the changes your body goes through when you become angry.
  • Look for irrational self-talk that intensifies anger.
  • Develop an anger plan to help keep you out of difficult situations.

The anger management program consists of eight 1.5 hour sessions. Prior to attending group sessions each client is required to meet individually with a counselor to complete the intake and assessment. Program sessions include lectures, group discussions, video, handouts, and quizzes. Upon successful completion of the 8 week program, the client will receive a written certification verifying participation and completion in the anger management program.

We offer group and individual sessions.

Registration is required for all Anger Management Services.
